It all started with a little chat before our departure from New Jerusalem Children's Home on February 8th.
The visit that morning was to meet the team from Amorphous, a design and web developing agency, who kindly offer to help NJ get some free publicity on the net.
For me, it was a long-awaited visit, to see with my own eyes the state-of-the-art school and creche that Adrienne built there while I was in Brazil having my second child.
The project, which had as a foundation a tiny building - which was previously used as a creche only, is breath-taking to say the least. It was surely a labour of love given to the sweet children of New Jerusalem.
But going back to that chat... the idea came up to have a fund raising event. The objective: to help financing other projects for the Home and to keep the school going on with the same high standards as it has been so far.
And also... to have LOADS of fun! (it doesn't hurt, does it?)
So right there we came up with a plan. And I will write all about it in this space.
